I believe everyone is very important and has value. I also believe that people do the best they can with the skills, knowledge and self-awareness that they have. My goal is to help those I work with learn to cope with any challenges they are facing. I want to help you learn and build upon the healthy skills you already have. Mental health is just as important as our physical health because mental and physical health go hand in hand. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for people to come and know that they can talk about anything and be heard, respected, and supported. I also believe that the client is the expert in their own lives, feelings, and experiences, and by working together, I can provide a new perspective and knowledge on mental health and well-being. My techniques are focused on brain-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I also have a focus on talk therapy and trauma therapy. I understand the neuroscience on how our brains work, and how the working of our brains affects our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and physical health. With psychoeducation, I believe that the client can learn and be empowered to make informed decisions to be able to act towards creating a healthier and happier self. I see clients from the ages of 13 on. In my spare time, I love to spend time at the coast, going on walks in nature, and spending time with family and my dog Lilly.
