Alexis Nicole Hajarizadeh
Hello! I am a Clinical Social Work Associate with experience providing mental health care in a variety of settings. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and integrative. I draw upon a variety of styles and techniques, which allow therapy sessions to be tailored to the individual’s needs.
I love working with people of all ages and utilize relational, humanistic, person-centered, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, compassion-focused, and mindfulness-based approaches. Although I am trained as a generalist, my areas of practice are trauma related issues, depression, anxiety, racial trauma, childhood ADD/ADHD, academic challenges, and stress management.
I value the therapeutic relationship and look forward to holding space for you while your story unfolds. I have experience working alongside clients of intersecting cultural backgrounds and identities and work to create a welcoming and affirming space. I am a fat positive, body liberation, social and disability justice informed provider.
I hold a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University with advanced coursework in prolonged grief therapy, mindfulness, and contemporary social issues. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bushnell University, graduating with honors. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, snuggling with my pups, and planning my next adventure.
