Heather Chavin, LPC-A

When you feel stuck or overwhelmed, the best thing you can do is try something different. It takes courage to reach out, but it’s the first step towards something better. That’s what counseling is all about.
My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening and what matters most. Together, we’ll explore your story and your patterns with compassion and curiosity-not judgment. From there, we’ll identify practical, doable steps that align with your values and your energy.
Therapy with me is both reflective and pragmatic. You’ll leave sessions with insight-but also with tools. It’s not about “fixing” yourself. It’s about learning who you are and deciding what kind of changes you’d like to make moving forward. Changes that will bring you relief, clarity, and momentum.
I’m here to support you in creating the life you want, whether that looks ‘normal’ to others or not. What matters is what feels authentic and meaningful to you.
I’m a Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark, working with adults and older teens in individual and group settings. My approach draws from narrative therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and body-based tools. I’m currently training in Internal Family Systems and Nature-Based Therapy. I also bring 15 years of experience in coaching and facilitation with groups and individuals, including work in corporate environments and entrepreneurship, so I understand the unique pressures of professional life alongside personal challenges.
Outside the therapy room, I’m usually on my front porch talking to neighbors, in my garden, out on trails with my hiking/running group, or online with my professional development community, learning more about how humans grow and change.
