All my life I have been a helper, even before I knew what the term meant. I have worked as a therapist for all ages for the past seven years and during that time my passion for helping others has continued to grow. I understand that as humans we do not live in a vacuum and that our families, friends, and all who surround us create a system of which we are all a part and that system has an impact on the individual.

Through my work I have developed the following approach to working with clients: I believe each person is on their own personal journey of healing and has the ability to change and work through their challenges. I believe each person is deserving of dignity, respect, and empathy no matter where they are in life. As your clinician I will walk alongside you on your journey and provide a safe space for you to heal. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of counseling and I look forward to getting to know you and begin building that relationship as you find your way to healing. Additionally, I believe in using therapeutic models that are well-researched and effective, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. My goal is to provide a trauma-informed, humanistic approach with unconditional positive regard for my clients as we reach your goals together.

I have worked with a wide-range of clients in different modalities. I have worked with elementary school aged children utilizing Play Therapy, as well as working with families. I have worked with older adults (65 years+) as they enter later stages of life and encounter issues surrounding their specific age group. The last three years I have worked with folks with severe and persistent mental illness such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder within a community mental health setting.

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to provide a safe space for folks who are exploring their gender identities and sexual orientations and all areas in between. Folks are also welcome to explore their religious and spiritual beliefs or alternative ways of living while working together. I come from a Latine background and have lived experience in being the child of an immigrant while also finding my place within my two cultures. It is my goal and hope to be a holder of light and hope as we journey with one another.
