Lisa Oland, LPC (Coming Soon)

My name is Lisa Oland and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been working in the
helping field for 15 years. I specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and
substance use disorders. I’m very well trained in exposure and response prevention therapy
(ERP), one of the most effective treatments for OCD. I also draw from cognitive behavioral
therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, self-compassion, and
feminist theory. I treat teens to adults from age 13 to 70. I practice from a social justice lens, with
an awareness of how systems of power and oppression shape our mental health. I am
LGBTQIA+ affirming, have specific training in working with trans and gender-diverse clients, and
provide letters for gender-affirming medical care. For clients struggling with addiction, I take a more direct approach—grounded in honesty, respect, and a deep belief in their capacity for change.

Rather than seeing myself as an expert who “fixes,” I view therapy as a collaborative process.
My lived experience helps me show up with humility, authenticity, and a deep respect for each
person’s unique story. While I don’t lead from my story, it deepens my ability to hold space for
others. I understand how hard it can be to ask for help, to trust, or even to imagine things being
different. Because I’ve been there in my own way, I meet clients with compassion and without
judgment, even when things feel messy or uncertain. My role is to help you explore your
experience, identify what matters most to you, and support you in making meaningful,
values-driven changes. Whether you’re navigating recovery, trauma, anxiety, identity questions,
or simply longing for more clarity or peace, I will walk alongside you with steadiness and care.
